Today, we’ll focus on fresh zucchini & tomatoes which are in uber abundance across the street at our beloved Wednesday Overland Park Farmers Market this time of year!  

We know how easy it is to be seduced by tables full of colorful, farm-fresh seasonal produce.  You want to grab all you can, but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming and we aren’t sure exactly what to do with them, or how to make the most of them.  Don’t worry…. we’ve got you covered! 

Join today’s seasoned culinary instructor and CCKC Executive Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt as she shows you exactly how it’s done by teaching cooking techniques and recipes using fresh, seasonal produce. The dishes taught will be totally dependent on what makes Chef jump up and down at the Downtown Overland Park Farmer Market this Farmers’ Market.

This morning, Chef will concentrate on her top 10 ways to put all of those zucchini & tomatoes to good use as she teaches some of her favorite delicious and simple recipes.  

After this informative weekday class, all you’ll need to do is take the today’s recipes to your favorite farmer’s market and choose your produce with confidence so you can create a tasty farm-fresh meal at home. Doesn’t get any easier or tastier than that!
