Let’s Get Sauced! The 1-2-3’s of Sauce-Making with Chef Dana Holland
A good dish can turn into a GREAT dish with the addition of a stellar sauce. Join us today as Chef Dana Holland teaches one of our most popular cooking classes – the art of sauce-making.
Today, we’ll get saucy as we Chef shows off his mad cooking skills as he teaches pan sauces, deglazing, butter sauces, cream sauces, vinaigrettes (yep, that’s a sauce too!) and egg-based sauces, both sweet and savory.
In this interactive class, we’ll learn fundamental sauce-making tips and techniques as Chef Dana teaches us the basics in an easy to understand way.
We’ll learn how to flavor sauces, how to fix them when they are “broken” and how to pair sauces with meats, fish and seafood. If that’s not enough, we’ll even squeeze in instruction on making stock, an important building block to any sauce.
Our tasting menu will include dishes that utilize these gems and you’ll be involved in the process because we couldn’t let you go home without getting in on the action!
It’s a whole new adventure in the kitchen that will up the ante on your cooking repertoire … and we promise a fun afternoon to boot!
