The Flavors of Bourbon Street featuring Visiting Chef Noah Lessard

Bienvenue a vous-autres! Help us welcome Visiting Chef Noah Lessard as he teaches alongside our own Chef & Lead Culinary Instructor Jill Garcia-Schmidt.  It’ll be double the chef fun tonight as Chef Noah brings us his deep experience cooking in the best restaurants on Bourbon Street in N’Awlins. 

Brimming with tradition, culture and flavor, Cajun, Creole and other southern-inspired styles of cooking are best exemplified by the dishes found in these traditional New Orleans restaurants. And did you know that N'Awlin's fare is heavily influenced by French cooking? Now you do!

Tonight, Chef Noah will transport you to the Bayou through his candid insights about the food, the people and the lifestyle from one who has lived it! Add Chef Jill’s engaging teaching style and you have yourself a party, friends! Come for a cooking class and dinner that will knock your Cajun socks off.

We’ll start the evening with none other than a Hurricane Cocktail.  Then, this southern culinary journey will include Boudin Balls, Chow-Chow, full-on Seafood & Sausage Pastalaya (What did she say? Oh heck yes… it’ll be  your new favorite dish!), Corn Maque Choux and Creole Cream Cheese Ice Cream.

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
