An ‘Extra’ Special Leap Day Cooking Class With Chef Sandy DiGiovanni

Leap Day is ‘extra’ special day that only occurs every four years, so it begs the question… what would you want to learn to do if you had an extra day?  Well, we asked, and one of our most popular instructors leaped at the chance to teach one of her 'extra' special meals that she pulls out of her kitchen vault once every 4 years.  You’re in for a very special (and delicious) culinary treat complete with paired wine!  Whoa!

Join us for a fun night as you help prepare an elegant menu with longtime CCKC Culinary Instructor Chef Sandy DiGiovanni.  If you’ve ever taken one of Sandy’s cooking classes, you know that you’re in for a treat. She approaches food like she did on her stint on “America’s Next Best Restaurant” – with humor and un-abandoned delight. And boy, does she know how to cook! 

So, let’s get started!  Learn culinary techniques as she walks you through a fabulous steakhouse dinner that will knock your socks off. You’ll be greeted with a glass of wine and enjoy some fancy-schmancy chef-prepared appetizers to get your started. 

Then, you’ll tie on an apron and get in on some of the cooking fun as you work in small groups next to Chef Sandy and help her prepare some of tonight’s gourmet five-course feast centered around an elegant entrée of Steak Oscar Wellington-Style. 

Since this is an extra day this year, you can eat a decadent dessert, right?  (Yes, it’s true... calories don’t count on Leap Day.) Howsabout one of Chef’s favorites -- a Spicy Chocolate Cake and Dulce de Leche Gelato. Lucky you!
