(No Longer Available) Learn To Cook An Elegant Lobster Thermidor Dinner with Chef Richard McPeake

Let's stir up some fun for this special Friday night cooking class. Expert culinary instructor, Chef Richard McPeake, is eager to walk you through the steps to create an elegant French menu featuring Lobster Thermidor.  

You may not realize that Chef McPeake designed the original seafood recipes for the Bristol Bar & Grill. Yep, he has a bit of a “fishy” past! Chef Richard is the original Chef for Kansas City’s award-winning Bristol … famous for its seafood.  In fact, he helped propel the Bristol to legendary status as the restaurant received Silver Spoon 1st Place awards, Travel Holiday Awards and countless other accolades in the early 1980s.   He's  the "real deal', folks, so you'll be learning tonight's elegant lobster dinner from one of the best seafood chefs around. 

You'll work in small groups and don an apron as Chef teaches helpful and practical culinary tips and techniques such as whisking, basic knife skills and more to ensure that you can re-create this class in your own kitchen! 

We'll begin with an interesting appetizer, Scallops Coquille followed by a Crisp Bistro Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette. For our outstanding entrée, Chef Richard will teach you to prepare Lobster Thermidor, a deliciously simple, yet elegant dish made with fresh tender lobster in a cream sauce that will be served with perfectly paired with a creamy risotto. 

For our mouthwatering dessert, you’ll learn to make one of Chef’s favorites – Fresh Strawberry Fancy. 

When we’ve finished, you’ll sit down at tables and enjoy the food that you’ve helped prepare. What a fabulous dinner experience filled with a show-stopping menu and lots of hands-on cooking time.
