Weekend of Love! Date Night in the Sushi Kitchen with Your Valentine

It’s the Weekend of Love, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a more unique experience for your sweetie and you to celebrate Valentine’s Day than in our kitchen! Join us for one of our most popular classes as you learn to make sushi together.

Let’s get this fun and interactive party “rolling” (lame pun) as we learn the fundamentals of making sushi.  Experienced culinary instructor, Chef Cynthia Samsel, is “in da house” to show you how it’s done.

You’ll sip on wine and learn the basics about sushi rice, the ingredients used with sushi such as wasabi, pickled ginger, how to safely store fish, where and how to buy sushi grade fish, and more. We’ll also learn hand-rolling techniques and presentation of our sushi! 

You’ll get to try your hand at making (and tasting!) several types of sushi like Inside-Out Rolls, Temaki, Negiri, California Roll using seasonal ingredients, fresh fish and vegetables. Then, Chef Cynthia turns you loose and lets you get your creative juices flowing as you practice what you’ve learned and make your own unique sushi rolls.

Now you can finally make sushi in YOUR kitchen. And, yes, there will be wine tonight, too. You’re crazy if you think you can’t do it yourself! 

A very unique date night experience with your honey. Oishii! (That means “yummy” in Japanese!)

Note: This is a basic skills class for beginners.
