A Friday Night Mexican Cooking Party featuring Famous Birria Tacos!

Tonight, we’re heading south-of-the-border for some spicy fun with our own Mexican cooking expert, Vicky Lara.  She grew up learning to cook traditional foods in her mother’s cocina – yep, she’s the real deal.

Vicky is excited to teach a brand new menu centered around Beef Birria Tacos.  If you haven’t heard of them yet, it’s possible you may be living under a rock, because this juicy, cheesy, delicious food sensation has taken social media by storm.

Birria Tacos (tacos de birria) are braised meat inside a corn tortilla. Uh, yum! Traditionally, served as a stew, until someone had the bright idea to stuff it into a taco shell and fry it up….and so the addiction began. Trust us, these are here to stay…and you’re the lucky amigos who get to learn how easy it is to make them in your own cocina as Vicky walks you through the process, step-by-step.

You’ll also learn to make some delicious accompaniments like Cilantro Lime Rice, homemade Corn Tortillas, Grilled Corn, and a cool, creamy dessert to end our feast. 

Yes, you’ll enjoy a CCKC signature Margarita (duh) and, yes, you’ll tie on an apron and help Vicky with some of tonight’s cooking activities. You’ll not only learn (and love!) these fabulous recipes… you’ll also pick up some practical cooking skills and techniques along the way.

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing.
