The Vegan Cookie Jar: Cookie Decorating 101 featuring Seasonal Designs

The holidays are right around the corner and there’s nothing better than amazing hand-decorated cookies to show off at your seasonal parties or family gatherings. Today, instructor Tracy Richter will show you how it’s done, vegan-style!  

She is a dedicated vegan, and everything she cooks, and bakes, is 100% vegan. After growing up and learning to bake alongside her mom, Tracy developed a passion for desserts that eventually led her to start a home-based bakery.  You can bet your pastry bag she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to cookie decoration.

Tracy will get you started by teaching you how to whip up a batch of homemade vegan buttercream frosting.  Then, she’ll show you how to use it as she explores beginner decorating techniques like piping, and more while showing you how to create seasonal designs such as pie slices, mini pies, and a variety of holiday themed cookies.  

Next, it’s time to get in on the decorating fun as Tracy provides some premade cookies, all cut-out in a fun designs and ready for you to use as you practice your new decorating skills by creating your own colorful, whimsical, and professional-looking cookies.  Of course, she’ll have samples of the cookie designs that she’s made for you to use as inspiration. Hey, she’s not gonna leave you hanging!
