Alla Salute! A Gourmet Italian Food & Wine Dinner To Toast 2022!

Class Description: 

The hustle and bustle of the season is coming to an end and our focus turns to a New Year!  But before we say hello to 2023 tomorrow evening, let’s take some time to mark the end of 2022!  And let’s do it Italian-style, in the form of a beautiful Italian food & wine dining event in our kitchens.  

Bring your spouse, partner, or group of friends for a special evening as we transport you straight to Italy. And if you’re so inclined, bring one of your favorite toasts to share.  

Chef Victoria Lara, Chef Jesse Vega and our own ‘Main Dish’ Laura Laiben will be your hosts and they will provide some wine education throughout the evening as well as some interesting ‘toasts’ that they’ve gathered along the way – some poignant, some Italian-themed and some just plain funny.

These culinary pros have designed an Italian menu that begins this evening with one of their favorite Italian small plates paired with a sparkling Italian Prosecco.  And, since we don’t know how notto have our guests get involved, even if it’s just a bit, you’ll have an opportunity to decorate your own sweet little cake to take home with you and enjoy at tomorrow night’s New Year’s Eve festivities.

That activity should get you in the mood as you’re seated in our kitchen for two Italian culinary classics:  Wedding Soup and a gorgeous Pinot Grigio wine pairing.  Our kitchens will be filled with the delectable aromas of the Tuscan countryside with our entrée of Red Wine Braised Short Ribs served with a luxurious Risotto Milanese and complemented by an amazing Italian red wine.  I don’t know about you but I’m hungry just writing about this menu! 

We’ll end our trip to Italy with Chocolate Olive Oil Cake with Dark Chocolate Mascarpone Ganache and toast the sunset of a successful 2022 with a luscious paired Italian dessert wine. No passport required for this special journey!
