The Chef's Table: Holiday Celebration Foods with Exec. Chef Jesse Vega

Class Description: 

When is the last time you had the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with a special chef-prepared dinner AND picked up some important culinary tips, tricks and techniques at the same time! Tonight’s your night to do just that!  This unique holiday cooking experience is an ideal way to treat your sweetie to a special date night, a special ‘thank you’ for business associates, or gather a group of friends to celebrate the season in our kitchens.

Chef Jesse Vega is a consummate culinary pro and will teach you the art (and science) of sauce-making as he prepares a dinner for you, up close and personal…AND with paired wine!  You’ll not only learn how to make some fancy-schmancy sauces….you’ll also get lessons in the art of food presentation that’ll take your holiday entertaining up a notch in the ole Christmas tree! 

He’ll teach the proper way to sauté, how to perfectly pan-grill, how to pair flavors and he’ll share some pretty darn amazing dishes to boot. Chef Jesse is known for calling up some of the guests to cook alongside him as well …so there’s that little bit of fun too. 

It’s a non-stop evening of cooking and sampling as we learn.  I’d go as far as saying it’s a cooking party!  Think beef skewers with a mushroom sauce, a dreamy apricot pan sauce made from sautéed chicken breasts, pan-seared shrimp with tomato vodka sauce (yes, please!) and savory Asian pork meatballs with a perfectly paired garlic ginger sauce. Holy cow. 

But wait, that’s not all! Chef will round out the class with a dessert that’s guaranteed to impress at your holiday gatherings- Red Wine Poached Pears served with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and a Red Wine Glaze (psst….we heard that this is one of Santa’s favorites!)  This class is guaranteed to be a whole lot of fun....plus, it'll change the way you cook! 

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
