Christmas in Julia’s Kitchen

Class Description: 

The packages are wrapped, and Christmas Day is almost here. It’s the perfect time to relax and celebrate the holiday spirit as we learn to cook a fabulous French dinner menu– just like Julia Child! 

Gather a group of friends or treat your special someone to a special date night when you join Chef Jesse Vega for a beautiful night of excellent French cuisine.  Chef is an experienced culinary professional, and he is eager to prove that there’s no need to be intimidated by all the fancy French terms and cooking methods. He will lead the way and teach you that French cooking is actually doable. He’ll dazzle with as he teaches essential French cooking techniques and excellent mise en place tips and tricks that will serve you well anytime you are in the kitchen.  My guess is that you’ll also add a French phrase or two to your vocabulary…other than French fry!

Our classic menu will start with one of Julia’s favorite French appetizers, followed by a delicious side - Purée de Pommes de Terre à L'ail Rôti (aka roasted garlic mashed potatoes).  Our show stopping entrée is none other than Julia’s signature Boeuf Bourguignon – a savory beef stew that will knock your socks off! We'll round out our beautiful meal with a lovely French dessert. 

In the end, you’ll enjoy tonight’s dishes with new and old friends. And that’s not all….as a bonus, you’ll enjoy some French wines that pair perfectly with our menu.  Registration is limited, so what are you waiting for…..join us, won’t you? Oui Oui!
