LI'l Kids (5-8): On Your Mark. Get Set. Let's Bake!
Today, little kids (ages 5-8) will turn into little bakers as we explore the wonderful world of BAKING! Yes, baking is a science, but, c’mon… it’s gonna be great fun, too!
Kids and their adult cooking partner will put on an apron and work alongside an experience instructor, Ariel Johnston, as she teaches you to discover important tools, tricks and tips that will help you bake successfully at home, every time! Yes, even little kids can bake like pros!
We’ll have tons of fun and probably be covered in flour by the time you get ready to go home. It’s non-stop, hands-on action as we learn correct measuring, how to follow a recipe, mixing, measuring, stirring, and more, as you whip up some delicious baked treats like S’mores Pie Pops, Chocolate Banana Bread and super tasty Cocoa Cupcakes. Yum! It’s going to smell sooo good in our kitchens today!
You’ll taste your creations AND take home some of your baked goodies to share with your family (that is, IF they make it home!)

Important: We require a waiver to be signed on behalf of each student by a parent or legal guardian prior to your child’s admittance to this class. This waiver requests a phone number where you can be reached during the class if necessary, and names of any additional people who are authorized to pick up the child after class. Visit our website at kcculinary.com for a copy of this Waiver. We strongly encourage you to print off a copy of this Waiver and bring it to class with your student. If we don’t receive a signed Waiver, your child will not be allowed to attend class. We are sorry but we cannot make any exceptions to this rule. If someone other than the parent drops off your child, they will need evidence that they are the legal guardian for your child in order to sign a Waiver at that time. For safety reasons, we also recommend that students under 18 wear close-toed shoes, long pants and have long hair pulled back.
We are dedicated to designing age-appropriate kids' cooking classes, and currently offer classes perfect for budding chefs aged 2-4 years old, 5-8 years old and 9-14 years old. For more information about our kids' cooking classes, please see our kcculinary.com website. 'Li'l Kids in the Kitchen'™ is atrademark and service mark of The Culinary Center of Kansas City®.
If you plan to attend this class with another party who signed up separately, please add their name(s) to the INSTRUCTIONS/COMMENTS section of your online registration so that we can seat you together; otherwise we cannot ensure that you will be seated together for the class. If you register for multiple students at one time, that registration will prompt you to supply the names of all students you are registering and we will know to seat you together. Thank you!
