Yes, desserts CAN be good for you, and tonight’s instructor, Chef Gary Hild would be the first to tell you that desserts can definitely be included in a healthy eating lifestyle.
In this sweet class, he will focus on simple and entirely healthful and scrumptious desserts, made from scratch – not a box or a mix. Chef Gary is on a mission to teach students how to prepare good food using only pure, healing ingredients.
For many years, Chef Gary was the Executive Chef at Unity Village, a facility widely known for its healthy cuisine. So, he knows what he’s talking about! He’s learned firsthand that nutritious, fresh and organic food can be healing and, if prepared correctly… delicious!
He will show you how to use REAL food to excite your palate, heal your body and nourish your soul as he shares some of his tried-and-true satisfyingly delicious dessert recipes like a creamy Thai Purple Rice Pudding, a “healthi-fied” French Clafouti that’s fruit-based, and much more.
Hey, it wouldn’t be a dessert class without a discussion about chocolate, right? So, he’ll cover the surprising health benefits of everyone’s favorite indulgence, especially dark chocolate, as you learn to make an all-natural Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bars. Yum!
You’ll also get some hands-on cooking time with this engaging professional, too.
