Fish Fundamentals For The Home Cook
Admit it! Most of us love to order fish when we dine out because we don’t have a handle on how to cook it correctly at home. Knowing the various types of fish as well as the cuts of fish and how best to flavor and cook each one using time tested cooking techniques makes you the “kingfish” of your own kitchen.
Enter one of our newest culinary instructors, Chef Courtney Wright, to save the day! She’ll cover fundamental tips and techniques like fish identification, how to buy it, store it, prep it, and, of course, how to cook it... all as she dives into a versatile salmon dish that can easily be reproduced and customized in your own kitchen.
Then, you’ll get your hands in on some of the cooking action as you tie on an apron and help Chef Courtney prepare part of the meal. We’ll learn some killer dishes, including a tasty dessert, to accompany those wonders of the waters, too.
Fish dishes love wine, so she’ll educate you on pairing wine with fish as you sip on paired wine tastings, including a White Wine Sangria.
This class will up your game in the fish cooking department.
