(No Longer Available) Game of Toques:  A Modern Spin on Medieval Dishes

Calling all kitchen maesters, lords and ladies of the Seven Kingdoms! Join our own Culinary Pyromancer Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt, as we step from behind the Wall and travel back in time to the continent of Essos to uncover the deep dark secrets of cooking delectable (yet updated) medieval dishes fit for noble dynasties. 

Tonight, we will immerse ourselves in the culture of that popular TV show that depicts the violent dynastic struggle for the Iron Throne.  You know which one I mean!  

Our own CCKC Executive Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt is a fan and eager to bring you the news of the crow as she takes you into a fantasy world of cooking techniques and shows you how to create superior dishes fit for kings and noblemen (noblewomen, too!). 

You’ll begin this unique evening with a signature ‘King Slayer’ Cocktail, and then sit back in your iron thrones (a/k/a chairs) to witness the cooking odyssey that Chef will lead you through as she creates Jon Snow-worthy dishes that you will be able to re-create in your own castles. 

We’ll start with Bran’s Brie Appetizer, followed by a Wilding Salad.  Next, the heart of our meal, Daenerys T’s Braised Lamb Shanks with Lannister Gold Potatoes (served in royal boats, no less!) accompanied by Kissed By Fire Hand Pies. 

Then, you’ll take your rightful place next to Queen of The Fire Jill and participate in some cooking games yourself.  Huzzah! 

Trust us, tonight, you’ll “know (drink....and taste) things” that will blow your metal helmet off!

Finally, we’ll end our flavorful medieval feast around the table as you enjoy Sansa’s Lemon Cakes with Milk of the Poppy - a glorious sweet ending to a fabulous class.

Should you choose to come in full dress, we shall not defend against you.
