In this limited enrollment class, expect lots of hands-on time as you work alongside experienced instructor and culinary professional, Chef Richard McPeake, as he takes the mystery out of cooking Risotto - one of Italy’s most popular classic dishes. The Italians have been growing rice for ages and have developed fabulous recipes to showcase this extraordinarily versatile, delicious and delicate alternative to pasta.
This evening you’ll discover that, with a little bit of know-how and some practice, your risotto will turn out perfectly. Chef McPeake is here to make sure that happen!
Once you learn the basics of preparing risotto, you’ll be astounded at the many variations such as Creamy Risotto AND a Savory Beer Risotto (that’s cooked with beer) that you’ll learn to prepare to change it up!
As a special bonus, Chef also includes a lesson on preparing beautiful Thyme Butter-Basted Scallops that are an ideal match to this creamy dish.
You’ll get important knife skills practice and sautéing experience this evening, too.
