Get your passport up-to-date, cause we’re headin’ out for the romantic country of Italy. Tonight’s tour guide is longtime CCKC instructor, and our resident world traveler, Bruce Campbell.  Fresh back from a recent trip to Italy, Bruce is excited to share some of the fantastic cuisine that he experienced on his travels around this gorgeous country.

We’ll start our culinary journey in Florence, as Bruce teaches you how to prepare a beautiful White Bean Bruschetta appetizer.  Then, you’ll move on to Genoa, where you’ll learn culinary techniques like how to use a mortar & pestle to create a classic Genoa pesto (betcha didn’t know that pesto sauce was born in Genoa... now you know.), along with a fresh eggless pasta-making lesson.

Next, we’ll move south to Capri where you’ll enjoy a classic regional dish, Scallops alla Caprese, cooked on a Piastra.  What’s that?  You’ll have to sign up for this class to find out!  We’ll end our cooking adventure as Bruce shows you how to make Grandpa Rossi’s Pizzelle (a/k/a Italian cookies).

We know that all of this traveling will make you thirsty, so you’ll get to quench your thirst, as you become Tuscan winemakers and blend your own Chianti-style wine to enjoy with your authentic Italian feast. Wow!

Along the way, you’ll get to tie on an apron and work alongside Bruce and help prepare some of tonight’s dishes.

You’ll end your evening around the table as you enjoy the great Italian food you helped prepare with new friends. Mangia!
