(No Longer Available) Whole World In Your Hands: An International Tour of Amazing Sandwiches

The Earl was right when he invented the sandwich!  And there is so much more to put between two slices of bread than just the turkey and cheese on white with mayo. 

Sandwiches are perfect go-to items for lunch or dinner – especially when you don’t want to turn on the oven and heat your kitchen in the warm summer months.... and our own CCKC Executive Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt is eager to share some of her favorite sandwich recipes that will keep you cool and satisfied.

But, be warned… the sandwiches you’ll learn this evening aren’t justsandwiches. Oh no. You’re going to learn to make international treasures such as the Croque Monsieur from France, that’s guaranteed to make your mouths water! 

Chef will also explore global 'sammie' favorites like the Bahn Mi – a Vietnamese classic, the Cubano and the Gyro, made famous in Greek delis.  Of course, we’ll stop in the good ‘ol USA where you’re in for a real treat ‘cause Chef Jill is also going to show you how to make her very own take on the Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwich – you know, the kind that oozes cheese and kids (of all ages) crave. 

Along the way, Chef will teach tons of essential culinary techniques such as basic knife skills and more, as you tie on an apron and work next to her and prepare some of today’s international comfort foods. 

You’ll also enjoy samplings of all of our creations and take home the recipes so you can make more!
