(No Longer Available) Taste of Paradise - A Feast of Authentic Caribbean Cuisine

The beaches and colorful streets of the Caribbean island are filled with the sights, sounds and aromas of traditional island-style dishes coming from restaurants that only the locals know about. Trust me. If you stumble upon one of them, you’re in for a real treat.

Caribbean cuisine emphasizes extremely fresh ingredients and complex medleys of spices, seafood and poultry, and a generous use of fresh fruit and tropical citrus, all with an unpretentious and natural presentation style. 

Let’s join the ranks of those who had a sudden desire to cut ties with home and move to “the islands”, and learn how to cook like the locals do.  Chef Dana has traveled extensively through the Caribbean and is eager to share stories of his journeys and show you how to prepare some of his favorite tropical dishes that he’s enjoyed along the way. 

You’ll be greeted with a Dark & Stormy rum cocktail and crispy Spiced Green Plantain Chips with Bajan Guacamole. 

Next, Chef Dana will dive into our island cooking class with essential culinary techniques as you learn to make a colorful Sunshine Salad, and ‘Stamp and Go’. For our entrée, West Indian Roasted Green Chicken served with Rice and Peas, a staple with any Caribbean meal. Finally, you’ll get to learn and taste a Tropical Coconut and Lime Natilla for a sweet ending to our flavorful Caribbean feast.
