Cake Decorating: Basic Techniques
In tonight’s 3-hour introductory class on cake decorating, you’ll explore some basics about cakes like the importance of crumb-coating, cooling, leveling, prepping and more.
Then, it’s all about the decorating as your expert instructor, Rachel Van Stratton walks you through the steps to make a homemade American Buttercream Icing.
Next, she’ll show you how to use decorator bags, tips, and more as you learn to make basic decorations such as stars, rosettes, shell borders, fall leaves, and more. Everything you need to know to make your cake decorating a breeze!
It will all come together as you practice leveling, crumb-coating, icing and decorating your very own mini-cake that you’ll get to take home and show off to your family! Say goodbye to grocery store cakes!
