Cooking Without Recipes-An Interactive Cooking Party!

Got your attention, didn’t we? YES… we are absolutely serious about this class and so is Chef Jesse Vega, a longtime CCKC culinary instructor extraordinaire and tons of fun! He believes taking this class is a step toward a lot more freedom in your kitchen. It’s the way many professional chefs like himself do – by relying on basic principles and flavor profiles. 

You will learn a great deal about food tonight as Chef Jesse teaches us some basic guidelines and techniques for learning to cook instinctively – without recipes.  It’s kind of an Iron Chef thing but with a “cheat sheet!” 

Tonight’s challenge will focus on seafood as the main ingredient.  We’ll learn about flavor combinations, how to build flavors; starting with an ingredient and knowing which way to go with it. We’ll identify the essential pantry items you need to have around to help you on this new adventure in cooking!

Once we have all these tools under our belt, we’ll roll up our sleeves, don the aprons and start cooking “instinctively” given some ingredients Chef Jesse provides.
