(No Longer Available) Beyond Basic Gnocchi... with Perfectly Paired Sauces

There’s so much more to Italian cuisine than spaghetti. This evening, you'll not only learn to make classic Italian Gnocchi (pronounced "nee-okkee") – those heavenly little dumplings that melt in your mouth – you’ll also learn some sauce-making basics as tonight’s instructor, Mari Ruck, whips up some fabulous accompanying sauces. Trust us, your friends and family will be so impressed when you serve these gems, they’ll be clamoring for seconds…and thirds!
Speaking of perks, gnocchi can be made in advance, which makes it the perfect entrée for your next dinner party or family meals on those busy nights when you need a quick, satisfying dinner on the table.
Mari will demonstrate the gnocchi-making process, step-by-step, offering guidance and helpful hints along the way. She’s an expert! She'll explore three interesting gnocchi recipes – a savory Green Olive Gnocchi with a matching olive-based sauce, Beet Gnocchi with Rosemary, and a Sweet Potato Gnocchi that she’ll pair with a light brown butter and sage sauce. So good.
Mari will call up a few volunteers to help her roll and cook the gnocchi, too. And, yes, of course… everyone will get to taste the gnocchi and the sauces! Plus, you’ll take home the recipes so that you can recreate everything you learn in class in your own kitchen!
