She’ll show you how to minimize effort and time commitment using make ahead techniques and time-saving tips. We’re talking proper storage techniques, shelf life, and how to freeze foods (freezer burn…a major no no).
Let’s have a whopping good time while we’re at it. In today’s 4-hour class, you’ll explore baking fundamentals as you learn Chef Jill’s very own "secret" recipe for a versatile freezer-friendly cookie dough (she’s been perfecting it for years… you won’t know how you lived without it!). Then. she’ll teach how to use the dough as a base and add in some mixin’s to make several of her favorite Christmas Cookies variations. They’ll freeze well so you can make batches ahead of time and all you have to do is put ‘em in the oven to bake for holiday parties or when unexpected guests drop by. Boom! Now, there’s an idea that should get your whisk a whippin’! Can I get a Ho-Ho-Heck-Yes?!
Next, Chef Jill will show off her mad cooking skills as she teaches basic culinary principles like knife skills, chopping, sautéing and more that you’ll get to practice as you tie on an apron and work alongside this engaging culinary professional.
