A Food & Wine Dinner inspired by CIA Greystone-Napa with Chef Andrew Kneessy

Rising up the western hills of Napa Valley is the castle-like and historic Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone, one of the world’s most unique and inspiring campuses for culinary and wine education.

Did you know that you can have dinner there, too?  Chef Andrew Kneessy, an accomplished Executive Chef, has used his extensive wine and food knowledge to host many dinners where he created perfectly harmonized food and wine pairings. 

Chef Kneessy worked at the Occidental Restaurant in Washington, DC which led him to opportunities at the Canadian Embassy, Blair House, and the White House, where he cooked for George Bush and Bill Clinton, among many other amazing accomplishments in his career.  Hehas also attended wine classes at the CIA and has passed the Court of Masters Sommeliers Introductory Course.  He’s the real deal, folks.

You’ll sit back and relax as Chef teaches essential culinary techniques while showing you how to prepare some of the dishes created at this monument to culinary acumen such as Butternut Squash Risotto, a fabulous Preserved Lemon Roasted Chicken, and Red Wine Poached Pear Tart, for dessert. 

At the end of this inspired meal, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the rolling vineyards of Napa Valley.  Chef will hand-pick some California wines to perfectly compliment tonight’s meal, as well.  

What a fabulous way to spend a Saturday evening with a culinary pro.
