An Interactive Asian Cooking Party with Chef Yvette Hirang

Join us for an interactive Asian-influenced dining experience that includes a mix of Filipino, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine to create a fabulous Asian family-style dinner experience. 

If you have ever wanted to know how the unique flavors of Asia’s different regions come together to taste as good as they do, you will want to allow tonight’s experienced Asian chef to share her secrets with you! 

During this informative class, she will instruct you on how to create a sensational menu as she empowers you to serve it up with flare and interesting flavors. 

Tonight, we’ll explore family-style way of eating has progressed into a popular Filipino mainstream culinary trend, now called Kamayan, where friends and family gather together to enjoy this fun way of eating. Traditionally this food is eaten with the hands only – no spoons, forks, or knives which makes this lots of fun to explore.

Filipino native, Chef Yvette Hirang, will recreate this unique dining experience as she shows you how to prepare several authentic dishes that will make up our interactive feast. You’ll also learn to fold a meal in banana leaves, the way the Filipinos do.  Fun!

You’ll get to help Chef Hirang create some of our meal as she teaches fundamental culinary skills to make delicious Pinoy dishes like Chicken Adobo, Pancit (Asian noodles), braised Soy Pork Riblets, Coconut Curry Shrimp and Pickled Vegetables. You’ll also learn to make perfect white rice that will accompany the meal.

The feast begins as the food is laid out on the table and you gather around with new friends to experience this distinctive hands-on culinary experience.  Napkins included…and yes, we’ll have utensils if you like!  We wouldn’t want you to miss some amazing foods!  This is a class that you don’t want to miss!

NOTE:  Unless otherwise noted, each evening class fee includes one glass of beer/wine, with additional beverages available at a nominal cost.
