Are you newly divorced, widowed, or fresh out of school and using your oven for storage? It’s time you learned some cooking 'survival' tips and techniques to ensure that you have some control over what you dine while you navigate your way through your new life.

Tonight, under the tutelage of Chef Sandy DiGiovanni, you’ll garner all the skills, confidence and know-how you’ll need to cook simple Italian-inspired meals that will nourish your soul.

Chef Sandy will share some essential tips and techniques as you learn to make some of her favorite home-cooked meals like Pasta Puttanesca (Ladies of the Night Sauce), “Put Your Foot In It” Sugu – a versatile red sauce, Chicken Milanese, Mozzarella en Carozza, Perfect Garlic Bread, Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and an Italian dessert that will make you wanna slap yo’ mama. Don’t do that.

Chef Sandy will also discuss the basic food items you need to keep in your pantry so you can whip up supper at home instead of ordering out. You’ll learn that you CAN create healthy, quick, often portable meals. Now take the canned goods out of the oven, will you?
