‘Up Close & Personal’ Cooking Lessons w/ Chef Jill: Cooking Thai Cuisine At Home (Class Added -3/31)
NOTE: Another class has been added on 3/31. Please visit that date on our calendar to register. Thank you!
Join us for a semi-private 'up close and personal' cooking class where you’ll enter into an intimate cooking experience with one of the best in the business. It’s your chance to step behind the scenes and into the world of a culinary pro.
Expect some hands-on cooking time in this limited-enrollment class as you work alongside our own CCKC Executive Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt who will teach you the ins & outs of cooking authentic Thai cuisine. She’s an engaging culinary professional who knows her way around a kitchen, and her teaching style is lots of fun and easy to understand.
Learn the underlying principle to cooking authentic Thai cuisine, which is to balance flavors, textures and colors into delicious dishes. Did you know that only in Thai cooking can you find the co-existence of all major flavor characteristics: sweet, sour, spicy, salty and bitter? Uh huh… it’s true!
Get ready to work alongside Chef Jill as you explore classic Thai dishes like the oh-so-popular Pad Thai., Moo Tod (crispy fried pork), Soft Spring Rolls with a spicy Peanut Sauce, and more. She’ll also include a lesson how to use a kitchen torch to create a luscious Coconut Cream Brulee. Fancy!
Ask questions, practice what you learn and, in the end, taste everything you’ve help make during this one-of-a-kind kitchen experience.
