Eat Yourself Well: Balancing Your Blood Sugar
You don’t have to have diabetes to know the importance of balancing your blood sugar to live a healthier life. Balancing your blood sugar is an art and the essential key is knowing what, how and when to feed your body.
Many of us struggle with excess belly fat, sugar cravings, chronic fatigue, mood disruptions and just plain not feeling good. Did you know that these are all symptoms of a blood sugar imbalance and that you can easily correct these issues by making some simple choices about the foods you put in your body? Well, you can.
Today, you’ll learn all you need to know as experienced healthy cooking instructor extraordinaire, Chef Gary Hild, is dedicated to teaching others to cook, eat and live better. He’s a firm believer that healthy cooking and including more plants in your diet is nothing short of culinary medicine. Today, he will share the fundamentals of cooking and eating to balance your blood sugar.
He’ll show us some easy-to-recreate recipes that are perfectly crafted to keep those sugar and carb levels where they should be as he demonstrates some of his favorite sugar-free/low sugar, gluten-free and dairy-light dishes to help you reach your goals. Finally, we’ll discuss the best way to make a salad and tips on whipping up your own homemade dressings.
As a bonus, Chef Gary will be joined by Carolyn Skelton (MS, RDN, LD, ACSM EP-C, CHC), food and nutrition expert, who will translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living-basically so that you will get all of the ‘why’s’, in addition to the ‘how’s’!.
