‘Up Close & Personal’ in the Kitchen with Chef Jill: A Mexican Cocina Cooking Party!

Grab your favorite senor or senorita and join us for an ‘up close’ limited enrollment cooking class with a culinary professional. You’ll be right up next to the cooking action with Chef and Lead Culinary Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt in an intimate setting as she teaches you how to create a delicious Mexican Fiesta that’s easy enough to recreate in your own cocina! 

Chef Jill is one of our most popular instructors with an infectious personality and easy-to-understand teaching style.  She is eager to share her passion for Mexican cuisine as you work next to her while she dazzles you with her cooking skills while teaching essential culinary techniques like basic knife skills, sauce-making and more.

Our authentic feast starts with creamy Tomatillo Guacamole and Homemade Tortilla Strips; followed up by Pica-Pico Tacos (soft tortillas filled with Chef Jill’s original Picadillo mix), topped with fresh Pico de Gallo and other authentic toppings. Next, you’ll learn to make Easy Fideo (Mexican vermicelli in light tomato sauce) and Borracho Beans (quick fix beans made with beer). Finally, we’ll complete our meal on a sweet note with Chef Jill’s favorite Apple Pecan Dulce de Leche Empanadas.
