Japanese Sukiyaki – A Traditional One Pot Meal
Japanese food is essentially fresh, seasonal flavors cooked simply, which easily makes it some of the tastiest cuisines you'll find.
Tonight, we’ll focus on learning to prepare an authentic Sukiyaki meal under the expert tutelage of an experienced instructor, Chef Cynthia Samsel, who has been teaching Asian cooking classes for many years. She makes sure her classes are relatable, as well as talking about American substitutions for Asian ingredients to make this style of cooking easier for the home cook.
In this class, she’ll explore the methods and presentation tips of a Japanese hot pot-style meal that features rib eye steak that’s simmered at the table along with vegetables and other interesting ingredients. You’ll also enjoy a crisp salad and an amazing dessert to round out your meal.
You'll get to tie on an apron and help Chef Cynthia prepare some of tonight's delicious dishes too. Lucky you!
