Introduction to Middle Eastern Cooking
Spice up your life (and your cooking) in this interesting cooking class as we explore Middle Eastern cuisine - one of the hottest culinary trends right right now.
Find out what all the buzz is about as experienced culinary instructor, Chef Dana Holland begins our journey with a brief discussion aimed at taking the mystery out of using basic spices like za’atar and sumac, yogurt, labneh, tahini and more, as well as how their unique flavors contribute to the middle eastern dishes.
Then, you’ll see, touch, and smell the spices as Chef Dana shows you how to use them to create classic dishes like Fattoush, a savory roasted salad, Musabaha (a traditional hummus), Kofta (middle eastern meatballs), and Shakshuka (based eggs and a spicy sauce). You’ll get to work alongside Chef Dana and help prepare some of these delightful recipes, as well as taste everything featured in class.
Imagine the tantalizing aromatic flavors and smells when you recreate these gems for your family and friends.
