Global Dumplings: From Pierogi to Ravioli
NOTE: This has been moved from Mon 5/11.
There aren't many foods more comforting than fresh-made dumplings – they’re truly a universal food. A pocket of dough filled with sweet or savory fillings, some version of these dough-filled pockets can be found almost anywhere in the world.
Tonight, Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt will take you on a culinary journey as she teaches several varieties of filled dumplings, pockets and little pies such as Pierogi, Ravioli and Chinese Shu Mei. She'll also talk about others like Korean and Indian dumplings. You’ll learn sauces, and she'll discuss a chutney that perfectly complements each of these global delights. Whether baked, boiled, steamed or fried, these are sure to rock your taste buds.
Of course, you’ll get to help Chef with some of the cooking activities. Plus, you’ll taste everything and take home the recipes. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
