Get ready to learn some scrumptious make-ahead recipes that can be prepared days in advance, simplifying your busy calendar and still have a delicious dishes to bring to the family get-togethers or to serve up for guests at your home.

Finding the time make and bake dishes can be stressful.  Enter Chef and Lead Culinary Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt with a plan that will show you how to use the magic of make-ahead! You’re welcome.

Chef is a rock star in the kitchen, and she makes learning to cook, easy-peasy.  Not to mention, she’s tons of fun and teaches in an easy-to-understand style that you’ll love. She’ll show you how to minimize effort and time commitment using make ahead techniques and time-saving tips.  Let’s have a whopping good time while we’re at it! 

In today’s 2+ hour class, you’ll explore baking fundamentals as you learn one of Chef Jill’s favorite make-ahead desserts - Any Fruit Crisp. It freezes well, if needed, so you can easily make it ahead of time and all you have to do is put it in the oven to bake. Boom!  Now, there’s an idea that should get your whisk a whippin’! Can I get a "Heck Yes!"?

Next, Chef Jill will show off her mad cooking skills as she teaches basic culinary principles like knife skills, chopping, sautéing, soup-making tips and more. You'll learn some of Chef’s all-time favorite make-ahead dishes such as Tortilla Soup, Vegetable Strata and a Tuscan Chicken Pasta Bake. Yum!
