Spring in Sonoma Valley Wine Country with Chef Sandy DiGiovanni

Imagine a beautiful spring night in Sonoma Valley’s iconic 'California Wine Country'... the very words inspire images of bucolic vineyards with gorgeous views and rows of new grapes standing ready to be nurtured to fruition.

California wine country is not just about wine, it is also a mecca for food lovers as well. Driven by seasonal ingredients, fresh herbs, natural goodness, simplicity, locality, hand-made artisanal cheeses, breads and olive oils and the emergence of world class wines, this cuisine has inspired cooks to paint with a very broad palette. 

Tonight, we’ll pay homage to the cuisine of California wine country. One of our most popular instructors, Chef Sandy DiGiovanni, has designed a beautiful menu that will show why California cuisine arguably qualifies as the essence of modern American cooking.

Our lovely spring-inspired menu consists of Sautéed Kale & Parmesan Crostini, Boston Bibb Lettuce with Pears, Walnuts, Fennel and Blue Cheese, Seared Scallops with Capers, Cauliflower & Raisins over a celery root & fingerling potato puree, Baby Carrots with Oranges, and finish with a beautiful Orange Almond Cake with Strawberry Sauce and Whipped Cream.

Of course, you’ll get to tie on an apron as you learn essential culinary techniques while helping to prepare some of tonight’s amazing dishes next to this engaging Chef.
