Here's your chance to sit right in our kitchens with Chef McPeake as he also teaches the online version of this special class.  Yup.  You’ll interact with Chef in an intimate kitchen setting but we know why you’re really here…the smells, the wine, the “behind the scenes” experience and oh yes…the TASTES!   That’s what we thought.

Here’s the class description:

We love homemade comfort food, and nothing is more comforting that a Fried Chicken Dinner. This down-home southern cuisine is highly flavorful and craved by everyone!

Join instructor, Chef Richard McPeake as he teaches essential culinary techniques while walking you through the steps to make Cast Iron Skillet Fried Chicken with the crispiest, most flavorful crunchy outside with moist and juicy meat on the inside. (psst…the secret is the brine).

Chef Richard has a real knack for taking the foods you know and love and spinnin’ them for a bit of a surprise, a little bit of “wow,” and a little “somethin” extra.

Prepare yourself for some culinary magic as he puts his twist on classic favorites like wicked good Ole’ Smashed Sour Cream Potatoes, Mama's Pea & Cheese Salad and finally, a Caramelized Applejack Brandy Apples Ice Cream Sundae (including a special sauce with a “kick”) to satisfy your sweet tooth. Wow.

Get ready to have a lot of fun as you watch Chef Richard teach this comforting family-favorite meal. It’s guaranteed to be “slap-yo-momma good!”

In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together. Thank you!
