Summer is full of gatherings, potlucks and picnics and just because you’re eating less meat & dairy, doesn’t mean you should miss out on all the great food!
Today, you’ll learn some fabulous plant-based recipes perfect for all your summer entertaining. These flavorful dishes will fill you up, satisfy you and help you enjoy the food too. We’ll learn a variety of plant-based foods that travel well (for parties and picnics on-the-go) and can be made ahead of time (to get you out of the kitchen faster). You’re welcome.
Here to show us how it’s done is Cindy Newland, author, speaker, certified health coach and experienced plant-based cook. She is the perfect person to show you how some simple and tasty plant-based alternatives can bring the joy back summer get-togethers. She’ll teach us that it doesn’t have to be coated in cream and butter to taste good and that we CAN have it all – good food that is full of flavor AND healthy and plant-based at the same time.
Cindy's own personal journey to a plant-based lifestyle is very inspiring. She struggled with a back injury that led her to make drastic changes and with those changes she lost 125 pounds and discovered a whole new way of eating and nourishing her body with plant-based foods.
Cindy brings to the table today delicious tried and true recipes that she’s created and tested, simple suggestions for transitioning into a healthy plant-based lifestyle, and cooking techniques that don’t require days of preparation.
Get ready to have some fun in the kitchen as Cindy teaches you how to make fresh summertime delights like Watermelon Gazpacho, a unique Avocado Pasta (wait, what? You’ll have to sign up for this class to find out how GOOD this is!), Sweet Potato Salad, Eggplant Muffaletta and more. Yum!

For On-Site Classes,when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated. We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request. Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together. Thank you!
