Yup! We'll be sharing the same amazing culinary education you'd get if your backside were in a seat in our kitchens, except you can be in your jammies (we won't judge!). Take notes. Ask questions and have the instructor answer them LIVE! Take your skills in the kitchen up a tasty notch. Maybe you are on your own for the first time and have discovered that eating out is expensive and take-out is tiresome. (College bound? Newly married? Loss of a spouse? Recently divorced? etc.), or maybe you just think it’s time you learned how to cook (or cook better) - darn it!! You desperately need a small repertoire of dishes for daily dining, but you can barely manage instant coffee. Sound like you? Then this is the class for you.
Tonight’s instructor, Chef Andrew Kneessy, has a resume that includes the Occidental Restaurant (Washington, DC), the Canadian Embassy, Blair House and the White House, where he cooked for George Bush and Bill Clinton, among many other amazing accomplishments in his career, so you can bet your whisk that he can teach you a LOT about the basics of cooking.
Chef Andrew who is a consummate professional and (patient!) culinary Instructor, will assume you know nothing --- absolutely nothing --- about cooking and we take it from there. He’ll get you on your cooking feet and on your way to preparing simple, healthy, delicious food in no time.
We will learn about basic cooking equipment and menu planning plus essential culinary skills like basic knife skills and more. In this informative cooking class, you’ll learn to make dishes that can easily be varied that will take you well beyond Ramen Noodles and Spaghetti-O’s! (C’mon… you know who you are!)
