(No Longer Available) Fiesta Baja! A Celebration of Coastal Mexican Cuisine

Join us for a special fiesta in Baja with lively music and lots of great food!  Expect fresh ingredients, fiesta-infused flavors and delectable presentation as you work alongside our very own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt. Mexican cuisine is her specialty, so you’re in for a ‘real-deal’ treat that will make palette scream “Ole!” as it explodes with the bold and exciting flavors of Baja-inspired dishes.

You’ll learn lots of culinary techniques and tips as she teaches Mexican dishes like Mini Ceviche Tostadas topped with a cool Watermelon Radish Pico, Baja Fish Tacos (grilled fish filets marinated in lime, garlic and chiles in corn tortillas) with Mango Avocado Salsa, and Black Beans and Corn Rice.  For dessert, Chef Jill will pull out all the stops with a delicious Margarita Granita.   

No fiesta is complete without cocktails, so you’ll enjoy a CCKC Signature Margarita to toast our Baja celebration! So good!

Wear your comfortable party (and kitchen) clothes, (and your sombrero, if you dare!) and come join in on this fun cooking class!

NOTE: For Onsite Classes,when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
