(No Longer Available) ONSITE CLASS! Kick-Butt Burgers with Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt
We are offering the ability to sit right in our kitchens as Chef Jill Garcia Schmidt teaches this quick & easy cooking class. Yup. You’ll interact with Chef in an intimate kitchen setting but we know why you’re really here…the smells, the wine, the “behind the scenes” experience and oh yes…the TASTES! That’s what we thought.
Here’s the class description:
Get in on this informative class ‘cause Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt is gonna teach you everything she knows about making the perfect burger. Chef Jill (who is a HUGE burger lover, by the way) says, “No More Ho Hum Burgers!”
She’ll share pro tips on how it’s done right – everything from how to season the meat (yep, there’s a right way that makes all the difference!), the proper way to handle the beef, correct cooking temperatures, when to add the cheese and how to cook until it melts into a molten covering of ooey, gooey goodness (‘cause a burger ain’t a burger without the cheese, am I right?!) and lots more handy tricks of the trade. You’ll be flippin’ burgers like pros in no time!

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated. We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request. Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together. Thank you!
