Want to give the boot to those store-bought cakes and learn how to do it yourself? We thought so! Learn the fundamentals of cake decorating from an experienced professional.

Chef Natasha Goellner, a graduate of The French Culinary Institute, is past owner of Mulberry & Mott and currently the Pastry Chef at The Antler Room. Trust us, she’s no slouch in the handmade and hand-decorated cake department. I’m just sayin’.

In today’s introductory class on cake decorating, she’ll explore some basics about cakes like cooling and prepping. Then, it’s all about the decorating as she discusses leveling, the importance of “crumb-coating,” decorator bags, icing, tips, equipment, making stars and zig-zags and drop flowers, etc.  Everything you need to know to make your cake decorating a breeze!

In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together. Thank you!
