Food & wine have been entrenched in Spanish culture for centuries on end.  Rich with some of the best values to quality in the world, Spanish wines are a true treasure of this magical country overflowing with a vast array of foods and flavors that are the fruits of the country’s diverse ecology.

Please join us for a special night of Spanish cuisine paired with some of the finest Spanish wines you’ll find.  Tonight, we have partnered with AquamVinos, a local Spanish wine importer, whose goal is to connect the people behind the wine to the people that drink it.  Their small team spends months researching to find Spanish winemakers who make the best-tasting wines for the best possible value.  Their goal is to work with wineries that put family first, take care of the environment and making amazing wines. 

AquamVinos co-owner Blair Kocher will join and lead us on this culinary adventure as we pair regional wines with a fabulous dinner menu designed and prepared by Executive Chef Andrew Kneessy.

It will be a night to remember as you enjoy beautiful foods prepared by a chef whose resume includes the Occidental Restaurant (Washington, DC), the Canadian Embassy, Blair House and the White House, where he cooked for George Bush and Bill Clinton, among many other amazing accomplishments in his career. He is an accomplished Executive Chef and has used his extensive wine and food knowledge to host many dinners where he created perfectly harmonized food and wine pairings. You are in for a very special treat.

Chef's beautiful menu will begin with Deviled Egg Toast with Olive Tapanade, followed by a carefully crafted 2nd course highlighting Manchego and Marcona Almonds.  Next shrimp will take the lead with an unusual dish made with garlic infused shrimp, roasted cauliflower and served with a Romesco Sauce.  The main attraction this evening will be grilled steak served with Chorizo Stuffed Peppers and Patatas Bravas.  We’ll finish our Spanish Feast with Flan and Almond Lace Cookies.

NOTE: For Onsite Classes,when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
