Focaccia is an extremely versatile Italian flatbread slathered with olive oil and sprinkled with salt. Rosemary sprigs and other herbs are sometimes tucked into the bread dough for flavor and eye appeal. It’s a killer accompaniment to entrees, a luscious appetizer when dipped into flavored olive oil and a beautiful and easy appetizer that begs for interesting toppings.
Our own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt will lead today’s specialty bread-making class. She has an engaging personality with loads of baking experience under toque, so you’ll be learning from one of the best in the biz.
She’ll walk you through the steps to make her favorite focaccia recipe that’s versatile, easy to reproduce in your own kitchen and just waiting for you to add your personal touch. And to prove it, all participants in today’s class will try your hand at making a personalized focaccia and take your masterpieces home to show off to your family and friends. Expect lots of ooh’s and aah’s when you realize you’ve “nailed it!”!
