The holiday music will be playing, the tables perfectly set and our kitchens filled with the sights, smells and sounds of the season. If the weather calls for it there will even be a toasty fire going.  Come in from the chill and join Executive Chef Jesse Vega for a very special celebration filled with a fabulous gourmet meal that showcases elegant Beef Wellington and two paired wines.   

Chef Jesse is an accomplished culinary professional. He was a team member on the first two Culinary Teams to Nationally Compete for JCCC winning a Bronze and Silver Medals, as well as the 2019 President of the Kansas City Chefs’ Association as well as Past Chairman, President and Vice-President of the Chef’s Association and the winner of the Taste of Kansas City – Iron Fork Trophy two years in a row. Chef Jesse has also appeared on every local television station showcasing his culinary specialties.

He has shared his talents with students at the Culinary Center for many years and has become one of our most popular instructors. Chef is currently the Executive Chef at Overland Park Place....so trust us, you're in for a very special treat tonight!

Beef Wellington (or Filet de Boeuf en Croute) originated as the quintessential grand centerpiece at British formal dinner gatherings and special holiday meals, and earned its distinction as a classic dish for very good reasons. It tastes amazing and is sure to impress the most experienced palate. Chef will walk you through the entire process of creating and cooking the wellington to perfection, including the proper way to slice and serve it.   

While our main dish is roasting (imagine how good that will smell!), Chef Jesse will move on to preparing sensational side dishes such as a savory butternut squash soup and roasted winter vegetables to accompany tonight’s outstanding entrée. I don’t know about you, but my mouth is watering!  

To complete our holiday feast, Chef has chosen red and white wine selections to enhance his dinner menu and will dazzle you with a dessert of Baked Alaska – an elegant ending to a festive evening.   

In the end, you’ll leave with all the instruction and recipes you need to host your own fancy-schmancy beef wellington dinner over the holidays. What a great way to unwind and celebrate the season with family, friends or business associates. Cheers!
