‘Weekend of Love’ A Very Special Valentine's Day Dinner featuring Beautiful Pairings of Food & Love

In honor of Valentine's Day, we have created a unique dinner of famous pairings of food and love that you'll only find here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City®, complete with wine tastings and a sweet hands-on activity designed just for the two of you. 

You'll be greeted with a lovely glass of wine. Next, we'll be seated to appetizers of Prawns with Citrus Butter and Chiles while our own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt tells the romantic story of what she will be serving for dinner, including a culinary demonstration.

The next chapter in our tasty love story is a beautiful winter salad inspired by the royal French pair of Napoleon & Josephine, which has been taken to the next culinary level by another famous lover of French food - Jacques Pepin with his lovely Champagne Vinaigrette. 

Tonight's fabulous entrée – Filet of Beef - will take us back to those classy Vegas hotel dining rooms that served up fancy schmancy meals for many celebrity couples. Chef Jill will cook the filet to perfection, top with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce, then serve it alongside Hasselback Potatoes and seasonal vegetable dish. For dessert, get ready for decadent Pistachio and Honey Crème Brûlée, where Chef will light things up with a lesson on using a kitchen torch.

Like that's not enough, your evening will include an opportunity for you and your honey to join forces with a sweet little activity where you'll decorate your very own Dark Chocolate Ganache Heart Cake to take home and enjoy however you like. No judging here… promise!

Our Flavorful Weekend Nights™ classes are just that, unique and tasty culinary experiences on weekend nights, most of which are hands-on! Movie, Schmovie... why not learn to cook with your friends, dates or your “luvva”? They are the perfect mix of culinary education and fun night out!

NOTE: For Onsite Classes,when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
