Fishy Fundamentals: Creative Fish Cookery with Chef Gary Hild

How many times have you proclaimed, “I need to start eating more fish!?”  It’s true that adding fish to your diet on a regular basis will result in huge changes in our health. Rich in protein, essential vitamins, minerals and omega 3 fatty acids (an essential fatty acid that benefits the heart), fish will quickly jumpstart your road to healthier living.

Join us for an informative and, perhaps life-changing class, as you learn how to cook, eat and live better. Chef Gary Hild, a longtime CCKC instructor and healthy cooking expert, is in ‘da house to show you how to cook fish - the right way.

Tonight we’ll look at ways to incorporate more fish into our diets – and enjoy recipes that even the non-fish lover will appreciate! His years of experience and informative teaching style will send you away with lots of great information and the confidence to make cooking with fish at home a snap! 

You’ll sit back and relax as Chef Gary covers fish identification, cleaning, storage, prepping and cooking methods, including grilling and pan sautéing, sauce-making tips, just to mention a few of the culinary fundamentals taught in this great class. 

We’ll learn as he shows us how to make several creative fish dishes like Pan-Seared Salmon with a lovely cream sauce, Sautéed Tilapia with Olives & Pernod, a classic Shrimp Scampi, and Crispy Baked Cod.  As always, you’ll taste these great dishes and take home all of the recipes so that you can easily re-create these tasty dishes at home.
