Game of Scones: Sweet, Savory & More! with Pastry Chef Erik Sharp

Join professional Pastry Chef Erik Sharp as you learn all about the wonderful world of making scones and fillings. You won’t believe how versatile a scone can be! 

Chef Erik has years of baking experience under his belt as Pastry Chef for Kansas City’s renowned American Restaurant, former owner of Three Spoons of Sugar and more, so you can expect to learn much from this expert baker.

In today’s class, he’ll teach essential baking and pastry techniques, guidelines for shaping and baking all types of scones and more. We’ll learn to make both sweet and savory versions, as well as some amazing lemon and orange curd recipes.

From mixing, shaping, flavoring, baking, freezing and presentation, Chef Erik will make sure you are armed with the correct way to make fantastic scones and fillings. You’ll also get to practice what you’ve learned as you mix a scone to take home and bake. Yum!

As a bonus, Chef will also throw in a quick lesson on how to turn the lemon curd into tangy Lemon Bars – a lovely springtime dessert. Of course you’ll take home the recipes and taste everything covered in today’s class.
