Intro to Cookie Decorating

Join us for a special class that will teach you serious and useful cookie decorating techniques and tips so you can make your own colorful and unique cookies in no time. 

Our expert instructor, Rachel Van Stratton is a cookie decorator extraordinaire, so you’ll be learning from a very talented cookie decorating artist. She’ll get your imagination flowing as she shows you all about the fundamentals of cookie decorating. 

She’ll instruct as she shows you how to make the perfect Royal Icing. Then, she’ll show you how to use it as she discusses icing types, decorator bags and tips, basic decorating techniques and more. Next, she’ll demonstrate various cookie decorating methods including piping, sugar decorations and more.

She’ll show you how to use these techniques to transform a plain cookie into some of her favorite designs.  Don’t worry, she’ll have some sample cookies decorated to show you how it’s done and you'll get to practice the techniques in class, too. 

With all the tricks and tips such as borders and flow icing that you'll learn today, you’ll leave class with the confidence and know-how to re-create what you’ve learned at home for any special occasion.

You can note this in the “comments” section when you register online, or you can call us with this information at 913-341-4455.  In this case, we will assume that you and the other person(s) are comfortable sitting next to each other.
