Learn To Grill, Vegan-Style! A Smokin’ Hot Plant-Based BBQ Party with Chef LaDonna Johnson

That’s right, grilling isn’t just for meat anymore!  You’re about to discover plenty of fabulous meat alternatives and plant-based dishes that vegans can cook up and enjoy fresh off the grill – and Chef LaDonna Johnson in ‘da house to show you how it’s done.

She’s an experienced culinary professional who owns her own business – Organic Soul – and has a passion for teaching folks to cook. Yep, Chef LaDonna walks the walk when it comes to living a plant-based/vegan lifestyle, and she's lots of fun, to boot! 

In tonight’s class, Chef will blow you away with interesting ideas that are completely out of the box as she covers everything you love about traditional BBQ dishes but with her signature kick of creative plant-based alternatives, colorful veggies, and tons of flavor! 

She’ll kick our BBQ party off with one of her favorite cocktails. Then she’ll dive right in and share knowledgeable advice for prepping plant-based proteins and veggies so they can be grilled to perfection.

Next, get ready to be wowed as Chef teaches essential culinary techniques while showing you how to make a colorful summer salad using fresh herbs, the proper way to grill fruits and veggies and how to make them shine in fresh dishes. (By the way, did you know you can grill lettuce? It’s true and Chef will show you how.)

Next, you’ll discover the savory world of BBQ Sliders (made with a surprise ingredient), a grilled mushroom Burger to die for, and more. Plus, toppings like homemade artisan BBQ sauce, and a savory southern mustard. You’ll tie on an apron and help with some of tonight’s cooking activities, too.

Move over meat…..tonight’s fun Saturday night cooking class is gonna add a deliciously healthy twist to your grilling menus.

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing.
