Friday Night Cooking Party! Cuban-Style!

Cuban cuisine is overflowing with an enormous array of foods and regional flavors that tell the history of this beautiful country’s diverse history.

Tonight, we’ll dine in the capital city of Havana, the heart of Cuba with Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt.  She has a true passion for this interesting cuisine and tonight, she’ll take you with her on a culinary journey as you explore the fresh ingredients of this intriguing city and turn them into fabulous culinary works of art for tonight’s Havana-inspired meal. 

Chef Jill is one of our most popular instructors with cooking classes are always loaded with techniques and expert tips, plus she’s tons of fun! She will show off her impressive skills and teach a variety of local recipes that will showcase Cuban foods that blend of the many influences like Spanish, African, and Caribbean, and more.

We’ll dive right into our cooking lesson and learn to prepare our flavorful Cuban-inspired entrée - Mojo Pork.  Then follow up with lessons on fabulous regional accompaniments that will round out tonight’s mouthwatering Cuban feast. Along the way, you’ll get to tie on an apron and get in on some of the cooking activities next to this engaging professional. 

Gather your friends or plan a unique date night with your sweetie……there’s no passport required for this flavorful Cuban excursion.

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
