(No Longer Available) Friday Night Tex-Mex Cooking Party featuring Chile Rellenos

Grab some “caballeros” or plan a unique date night with your sweetie as you enjoy a fun Friday night cooking class with a true culinary pro. Our own Chef & Lead Instructor Jill Garcia Schmidt is passionate about teaching folks to cook and super excited to show you how to prepare some of her favorite Tex-Mex dishes inspired by the southwest.

If you’ve ever been to the southwest you know that it is a mecca for food lovers, so get ready your taste buds ready for a real treat.  Chef will start with a kick-butt appetizers that consists of avocado, grilled shrimp and chipotle bacon (you heart me….bacon!), a Santa Fe inspired salad, spicy Chile Rellenos for the main course, and an amazing Orange-Vanilla Flan to end our evening on a sweet note.

Chef Jill is an engaging culinary instructor with a joyful teaching style and lucky YOU will get the chance to tie on an apron and work with Chef as you help with some of the cooking activities. Si!  Trust me, you don’t want to miss this fabulous cooking class!

NOTE: For Onsite Classes, when you arrive, please check in with our Class Assistant who will give you information as to where you will be seated.  We will be arranging our classrooms to allow for social distancing. In order to comply with governmental orders and for the protection of our guests and staff, we ask that you wear a mask when here at The Culinary Center of Kansas City. If you are planning to sit next to someone else attending the class, we would suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the start time of the class so that we can address that request.  Both students would need to be comfortable with the request to be seated together.
